Atlas Shrugged 100 Page Summaries eBook Trisha Lively
A friend said I need to read Atlas Shrugged..... are you kidding me! It's like a jillion pages. So I got this kindle version of a synopsis and I enjoyed it a lot and it made me curious to know the entire story. Now I do plan to read the jillion page book.Well written with explanations of what things mean. It challenged my brain, remembering literary terms I hadn't considered since 11th grade.
I would recommend this.

Atlas Shrugged 100 Page Summaries eBook Trisha Lively Reviews
Much better option than reading the actual book, which is too long. I enjoyed the movies, but this explains better the thoughts behind the people and social ideas going on.
I enjoyed the summary. I wish it was longer, maybe 200 pages. That might have given a better overview. I also purchased the Atlas Shrugged book. I did go to some of the chapters in the book and read all or part after reading the summary chapter. I could do that, and because of the summary most of those readings made sense.
I wish I had know that there was a list of characters in the back of the book. There were times when I back tracked to try to find out who a charicter was. It was often confussing because sometimes the persons first name was used and sometimes the last name. If I had know that the list was in the back of the book It would have been easier to identify a charater.
This has given me the motivation to read the whole book. I was suprised that even though long, the chapters I read were fairly easy reading.
I am active politically and I would recommed this summary to several of my political friends.
I know this is the whimpy way, but I did start the 1500 page version, got thru about 12% and then went the easy route. Always wanted to read this and now I feel like I at least understand the concepts....I did enjoy the 100 page summary and will probably read war and peace this way since I started that book a few times also.
The unabridged "Atlas Shrugged" is an important book, but is far too long. Ms Rand just wears the reader out, going on and on and on with her philosophy. This condensed version does a nice job of capturing the essence of the book, saving the reader 1100 pages and providing the story outline with suggestions on what parts of the book to read in its unabridged form Particularly for one who read the unabridged version decades ago and wants to revisit it, this version is a fine choice.
It was great, not having to read the whole boring book, just to see what everyone was talking about. I had read several chapters already, and I could tell that the summary did an excellent job. Than I could get through the rest of the "story" without having to wade through the original. What a relief! Then at the end, there is a summary of Rand's "philosophy" objectivism, which sounds a lot like Trumpism (self-interest comes first.)
Bought this book after watching the first 2 DVDs based on Ayn Rand's epochal novel. Couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next/how it would end, and was intimidated by the 1100+ page size of the paperback book in my local library. I may go back now and do selective readings in the book, since I now know the crucial items from each chapter. The book probably deserves more like a 200 page summary, but this worked well for me. BTW, the parallels between the book and some of the stuff going on in the federal government these days is downright spooky.
Thought I'd enjoy this but the same thing happened as trying to read the full novel. I fell asleep.
I know people are supposed to honor and bow down to Rand, but she could have
said everything she needed to say in five pages. The read is way out of date, dark, foreboding, dreary and just
a chore to get through.
Better to read another old book on the subject which is much more entertaining Robert Ringer's
How You Can Find Happiness During the Collapse of Western Civilization.
